Adoption Support Group
If you are thinking about adoption or have made your decision but are in the waiting process join us for support and conversation.
These meetings are facilitated by an Infertility and Adoption Support leader and there are no scheduled speakers. The topics discussed are based on what the attendees wish to talk about. Topics can vary from the differences between international and domestic adoption, how to select an agency, what comprises a homestudy, how to tell loved ones about your adoption plans, transracial adoptions, open adoptions, fears about adoption, tips on how to handle waiting to be selected or matched, responding to insensitive comments about adoption, travel tips, and being an advocate as an adoptive parent.
All support meetings are free for up to 2 months. After that you will be asked to show your ongoing support of IAS by joining our organization. A full list of member benefits can be found on our web site under the 'Join' tab.
